Decorations

Hands down, Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. Reason being, it's the only holiday with no pressure to perform, you get to be a little silly and no one will judge should you choose not to participate in all the spook-tacular festivities. However, I always choose to participate and decorate my home inside and out. I love getting my craft on during this time of year and never tire of creating unique and oh-so-special pieces to add to my arsenal of decorations. One of my favorite Halloween decorations is putting twinkle light spin on a plain witches hat. These are perfect for hanging from trees, in stairwells, suspended from the ceiling and so much more. This craft is super duper easy, has tremendous impact and best of all, is mega budget friendly (our favorite).

Enjoy! xoxo,

Brittany

We've said it before and we'll say it again, Halloween is our absolute favorite holiday of the year. Aside from our love of pumpkins and the color orange Halloween combines creativity and good ole fashioned fun for an evening filled with spirits, spooks and spells. Though this tends to be a pretty low pressure holiday, if you are hosting a bash it is easy to get overwhelmed with projects. The cost of decorations can add up quickly and before you know it you've spent hundreds of dollars on items that will only be out for a few short weeks. However, we pride ourselves on achieving the look for less so you are in luck. We have a fun spooky fence project your guests are sure to remember and will only cost you about $50 for materials...and a few short hours of your time.

Mid summer is upon us and you know what that means. No, we are not talking about all the school supply commercials that still give us anxiety even though we are grown adults. We are talking about the 4th of July, the holiday centered around stars, stripes, fireworks and grilled meat. Though this tends to be a more relaxed holiday it seems preparing for the 4th is often underestimated especially if you are the host for this festive occasion. To make things a little easier for you we have one super simple centerpiece that can be completed in a matter of minutes plus a few creative uses for bandanas. Nothing says 'Merica like a bandana. And the best part, your guests will think you were prepping your house for days!

Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away. Whether you have a love or hate relationship with this holiday you can't help but notice the many shades of pink and red. We at BashBLOK will take any reason to celebrate and Valentine's Day is no exception. From dresses to napkins, hostess gifts to decor we have found the best in all things love for that someone special...or maybe you. So go on, put on that perfectly pink lipstick, spritz a little extra perfume and get in the spirit. You never know, Cupid just may surprise you this year.

Oh how we love a good printable! One of our favorite blogs, 'two twenty one', has impressed team BashBLOK yet again with this so fabulous and so elegant New Year's Eve printable. Gilt with a little glittery glam, these are perfect for jazzing up a cocktail table, buffet or even party favors. No need to be disappointed with the picked over decorations at your local party supply store. These are cost effective and you can certainly get the job done with a good quality card stock and a personal printer.

We love the hustle and bustle of city life but sometimes it's nice to have an excuse to get away. Happening this weekend is Milton, Georgia's 'Crabapple Fest', an annual event featuring dozens of antique dealers, artists and seemingly endless amounts of delicious food.  Just north of Atlanta, Milton embraces rural living and preserving small town heritage. Our very own BashBLOK CEO and Co-Founder, Brittany Garman will be attending this exciting event. You might find her visiting with local artists and vendors or volunteering at the Canine Assistants booth and, most likely, will have a cute puppy in tow. Be sure to stop by to say hello. She'd love to meet you and give tips on planning your next event or picking up that perfect hostess gift from the festival. Festival Details: Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10am to 5pm 765 Broadwell Road Milton, GA 30004

It's Fall, our favorite time of year! Even more of a favorite for team BashBLOK is Halloween. This spooky holiday allows our DIY team to get super crafty, creative and lends the opportunity to use glow-in-the-dark paint. To get ready for our upcoming 'All Hallow's Eve' Bash we have prepared a very quick and easy pumpkin centerpiece. The majority of these items for this craft were purchased at Michael's for under $50 with coupons and fall decor promotions. Can't beat that! Follow step-by-step and learn how to recreate this pumpkin display for your next Spooky Bash!

When gift shopping for a man of style, finding pieces that are unique as he is can be quite a challenge regardless of the occasion. The options often seem repetitive and impersonal which just won't do for someone oh so special in your life. However, with the creativity and knack for thinking "outside the box", our procurement team has found a few, very special and unique gift pieces that are sure to inspire. First up, an antique lap writing desk from the late 1800's. Pretty cool, huh? This is the perfect piece for housing pocket squares, cufflinks or even the more obvious choice, personalized stationary. See our Ebay picks of similar pieces below.

At BashBLOK, we absolutely love the style and distinction of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Eras. Combining the curves of Nouveau and the geometrics of Deco we are quite taken by these invitation designs from Ceci New York. But, this glorious combination does not have to stop with stationary. Check out the BashBLOK picks for this fabulous mix, perfect for making yourself and your home bash ready.

Oui, we are so in love! Inspired by the romance and elegance of Paris, this 'Le Jardin' themed bash was definitely a smash. Bold colors, soft candlelight and perfectly tailored linens are just a few details we adore. Read more about this bash from the Hostess with the Mostess Blog.
